Delta T scaling can be used to enable lower delta Ts at low flows, rather than maintaining a fixed DT value. Alternatively, the Energy Valve can be configured in flow control mode with DT manager disabled to maintain a minimum flow. We want to address the Delta T at the coil so inlet temperature closest to the coil is best. Delta T management is performed on an operational basis requiring a minimum flow rate to be activated. If a valve was closed, it would typically mean no heat exchange is occurring and no minimum flow rate is provided.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the delayed response. We worked closely with a product specialist to understand your concerns and provide feedback you will hopefully find helpful. Belimo gas monitors are factory calibrated, so when a customer purchases and installs them, they do not need to be calibrated during installation. However, additional factors must be taken into account, such as how long the gas monitors have been in storage and at what elevation they will be installed, so calibration upon installation is a good option but is often not required. After installation, Belimo gas monitors are required to be recalibrated annually, or more frequently as specified. Recalibration is done by flooding the sensor modules with gas and adjusting the zero and span values. This process of recalibrating ensures that the device is reading correctly and will react appropriately should gas levels rise above normal levels. For a detailed description of the calibration procedure on all Belimo gas monitors, please see the Belimo Operating Manual sections 6.2 to 6.5. After a gas monitor is recalibrated, it should read correctly and react appropriately until the next recalibration service is due. At some point, the sensor modules (the physical sensors inside the gas monitor that detect gas) will reach their end of life, which is when they should be replaced and can no longer be recalibrated. When a sensor module reaches its end of life, a code will be displayed on the LCD display. This is a safety precaution to force them to be replaced and not forgotten. Each sensor module has a unique end of life depending on the gas it senses. To see the end of life for all sensor modules, please see section 6.7 in the Belimo Operating Manual. To replace a sensing module, simply open the gas monitor's door, remove the sensor modules, replace them with new ones, and register the new modules. When the gas monitor's end of life is reached, only the sensor modules need to be replaced. Also important to note, all Belimo gas monitors are compatible with one another, mixing older and newer devices will not affect the functionality of the devices or of the system. For a detailed description on replacing and registering sensor modules, please see section 6.6 in the Belimo Operating Manual. A customer has the option of either recalibrating the gas monitor or simply replacing the sensor modules with new ones, depending on which option is more cost effective. It could be that the volume and location of the gas monitors do not justify the cost of having a trained technician come and recalibrate them. In such a situation, replacing the sensor modules (which can still be used for years) is possible. We are trying to continue to make Belimo gas monitors reliable, accurate, user friendly, and long lasting. There are no replaceable fuses on the Belimo Devices, but we’ve got you covered. Belimo products come standard with a 5-year warranty, and the first 2 years of that warranty are unconditional. This means that if you or the contractor in any way damages that product during the installation; we will replace it like for like under the warranty.

@@Belimo_Global Can you please help to solve this issue.. we have a old modulating actuator which is obsolete now. So now i’m replacing the new actuator. When i press the self adoption for 3s it goes to the direction and meeting the 1/2 inch valve scale from 0 to 100%. But during auto operation it doesn’t goes after 50%… When i check on the actuator terminals I receive the max control signal 10V , so now it supposed to reached 100%. then i measure the voltage on the actuator terminal i received 7.2v only, then i disconnected the actuator and measured it receiving 10V…Model is SVK24-MFT-50. I don’t know why . When my control signal gives 10v it supposed to go 100%.. but it’s not going after 50%.. my range is 2 to 10vdc. 0-100%, total 3 wires) -, + and control signal +) My PLC sends 10vdc but it doesn’t goes after 50%, But when manually change the direction it goes 0-100% properly

Hello Juan, We estimate that you would save money using the rebuild kits as the installation of tearing down an old valve and replacing it with a new one is still going to be more than the replacement work which as you can see from Joe's tutorial is simpler. Additionally, there is a cost savings to a rebuilt kit than a new valve. If you have any additional questions about rebuild kits we would be happy to answer them!
